Embankment Summer Market 2016

|

This July, the picturesque Victoria Embankment Gardens will once again offer a platform for the city’s creative talents to showcase their artisanal wares at the Embankment Summer Market for three full days.

Featuring distinctive and quirky designers specialising in various crafts and disciplines, including fashion, jewellery, homeware, clothes and baby products, the organisers will be hoping to build on the success of last year’s debut show, which attracted an impressive 15,000 visitors.

Even bigger numbers are predicted to return for the second edition – especially if the sun rears its head – in its scenic location on the north bank of the Thames, just minutes from Embankment Station.

Central to the event will by the food offerings, served up by food stands and an ell-embracing farmer’s market selling a wide range of high quality produce.

As for the entertainment, that comes in all shapes and form, including a bar, lawn games (giant jenga and croquet), activities for families and live stage performances from a variety of bands and musicians.

Despite the economic uncertainty facing the city, London has never been in such a grip of innovation. In every sphere, there are new and original ideas being explored and reshaped. Gifted designers are everywhere and it is events such as the Embankment Summer Market that are helping to drive this trend.

So if you’re keen to get involved in this growing movement, why not pop down to the Embankment Summer Festival this July, where you can meet like-minded people, draw inspiration, and perhaps depart with a renewed ambition to be the next big thing?

The Embankment Summer Market takes place from 15 – 17 July. The event is in support of The Connection at St Martin’s charity, which helps the homeless in the heart of Central London.
